An international yacht race harkening back to the days of when the BOC/Around Alone was hosted in Charleston, this event will bring solo and double-handed racers to Charleston
aboard 40 and 50-foot race boats. Charleston will serve as a stopover port for the skippers to repair, re-energize and depart for the finish line in Portugal.

Charleston SC was host to the beginning and end of the BOC Challenge in 1994/1995 and Around Alone sail in 1998/1999. Both solo sails encompassed over 27,000 nautical miles with yachts 40-50ft and 50-60ft long.
