Inaugural RiverFront Race Festival

Inaugural event featured a half marathon, with a 10K race, 5K race, kids competition, and family walk.

Additional Events: Bicycle rides on Sunday include 62-mile and 30-mile treks. It is the initial step toward production of the first full marathon in the Charleston area, slated for 2011.

Event Organizers: A local organizing committee spearheaded by event chairperson, Mr. Charles Fox.

Venue/Location: North Charleston’s Riverfront area at The Navy Yard at Noisette.

Participants: First year registrants for all events exceeded the 1,000 mark.

Local Contributions: Proceeds benefit the Youth Endowment for the Arts (YEA)
